What Is Avéli™?

Cellulite is a common concern many patients have about their lower body. If you are looking for a non-surgical solution that leaves the thighs and buttocks with a tighter and smoother appearance, Avéli™ may be right for you.

Avéli™ is a minimally invasive treatment that significantly reduces cellulite in an area in one office visit. It is the first cellulite reduction procedure where a trained physician is able to identify and release the cellulite-causing bands under the skin, also known as septa, and be able to confirm that the septa causing the dimples have been released. With Avéli™, a physician is able to precisely target the dimpled areas. This device can also treat pockets of fat or laxity that often accompany cellulite in these areas.

What Are the Benefits of Avéli™?

For those looking to reduce cellulite in their thighs and buttocks, there are a number of benefits to receiving an Avéli™ treatment. These include:

  • Visible and meaningful reduction of cellulite
  • Single office visit procedure
  • Little to no downtime or recovery period
  • Improved confidence

Who Is a Good Candidate for Cellulite Treatment in Portland?

Good candidates for Avéli™ are people who are in good health and who experience cellulite dimples on their thighs and buttocks. They are people who are looking to reduce cellulite in a single office visit and achieve smoother, tighter skin but have reasonable expectations about the process. Avéli™ is a good option for those looking for significant improvement after a one-time procedure. You may not be a good candidate for Avéli™ if any of the following conditions apply to you:

  • Your cellulite is mostly due to skin laxity
  • You have a BMI over 25
  • You have received a procedure using liposuction in the desired treatment area

The best way to determine if you are a good candidate is to book a consultation with our board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Allen Gabriel.

What Can You Expect When You Receive an Avéli™ Treatment at AG Aesthetic Center?

When you choose to receive your Avéli™ treatment at AG Aesthetic Center, you will first undergo a thorough consultation with Dr. Allen Gabriel and PAs. He will discuss your aesthetic goals in depth with you and examine the area you wish to have treated. If he determines that Avéli™ is the right solution for you, you will be able to receive the treatment. The procedure starts with a local anesthetic being injected into the skin to minimize any discomfort. When you are numb, the Avéli™ wand is placed under the skin in the treatment area to individually cut the septa bands. This precise procedure creates smooth, targeted results.

What Is the Recovery Period for Avéli™?

There is little to no downtime after being treated. Many patients resume their regular activities within one to two days. In the first 24 hours, you may experience some mild pain. Aveli™ FAQ

How do I know if Avéli™ is right for me?

Women who are looking to address their cellulite dimples with one minimally invasive procedure can benefit from Avéli.

Does the treatment require multiple sessions?

No. It is a single procedure in which the practitioner addresses all of the cellulite dimples both on the buttocks and the thighs.

How long does the procedure take?

Aveli cellulite procedures, including the administration of anesthesia, typically take an hour to carry out. That said, this can vary depending on the extent of work needed by the patient.

Is there any downtime following the treatment?

There is minimal downtime. Most patients are able to get back to their normal routines just 24 to 48 hours after the procedure.

Are there any side effects?

In the clinical study, participants commonly experienced mild pain within the first 24 hours, as well as bruising and tenderness when touched, which typically subsided within the first 30 days. Some individuals also noticed areas of firmness, which were generally not visible or painful and resolved within a few months.

When are the results visible?

As with most cosmetic procedures, the results of Aveli Cellulite treatments are visible once the swelling has dissipated. It can take up to a month for the swelling to fully fade away.

How long do the results last?

Studies indicate that the results from Aveli Cellulite treatments can last anywhere from several months to several years. While many patients will eventually need a follow-up treatment, they may not need one for a long time.

Can I exercise after the treatment?

It is typically recommended that patients avoid all strenuous exercise for the first few days or weeks following the treatment. A comprehensive post-procedural plan will be provided to patients upon discharge from our office.
